The Alumni Memorial Scholarship was created in 2018 in honor of students who have passed away since the school’s opening in 2005. Seniors are given the opportunity to apply their Christian Stewardship Projects towards the SJA Memorial Fund Scholarship application.

The 2020 Recipients of the Alumni Memorial Scholarship are Jaida Collins and Matthew Newkirk.  Jaida will be attending Benedictine College studying Biology, and Matthew will be attending the University of Missouri studying Sports Journalism.



 The 2019 recipients are Madeline Joerger and Isabell Valldeperas.  Madeline will be attending Benedictine College to study Theology, Secondary Education, and Psychology.  Isabell will be attending St. Louis University to study Social Work.


Seniors Annie Caldwell and Madison Douglas from the Class of 2018 were the first  SJA Memorial Fund Scholarship award recipients. Annie will be attending Kansas State University to study biology, and plans to get involved in service for children with disabilities. Madison will be attending Emporia State University to study elementary education, and has future mission trips to Nicaragua planned where she has previously served.
